Arranging the work for the Corolla

CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for engine work on the 2016 Toyota Corolla S we arrange a trusted shop. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Your car, your notes

Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. If you have the service history of your Corolla, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Under the hood: the 1.8L 4-cylinder and front-wheel drive.

From request to repair

Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.

Car care, briefly

Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.

Talking to the shop

Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
