Renting for Java

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Places around Java include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

What the figures tell you

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 7-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Expect about 24 litres for every 300 km, going by its 7.9 L/100 km combined rating. That works out to about $13.83 per 100 km at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Space, size and seats

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. At 4.76 m long, it is on the long side. Check the size of a tight parking spot. At 368 litres, the trunk fits about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can you rent one?

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

The booking steps

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Renting: the basics

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
