A note on Java

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,639 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

Other places near Java: Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

The numbers in plain words

Its 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo drives through a 7-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

It is rated 7.9 L/100 km combined: about 24 litres every 300 km. For 1,000 km, budget about $138.30 at our price setting.

Space, size and seats

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. It is 4.76 m long. Check the size of a tight parking spot. With 368 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Renting the A4 from CarmaCars

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Before you rent

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

How to book

The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Next step

Pick a car, send a request, and decide once you see the offer.
