Renting for Java

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

The pages for Selby, Lowry and Sitka cover the areas next door.

Under the hood

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, paired with a 7-speed automatic, drives it. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

At 7.9 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 24 litres of fuel. At our price setting, it costs about $13.83 to drive 100 km.

The A4 in everyday use

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Its length is 4.76 m, so it is on the long side. Check the size of a tight parking spot. The EPA lists 368 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

In our fleet

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

What to have ready

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

How to book

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
