What the figures tell you

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, driving through a 7-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

At 7.9 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 24 litres of fuel. A 300 km weekend costs about $41.49 in energy at our price setting.

Who rents the A4

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Space and size

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. With a length of 4.76 m, it counts as on the long side. Check the size of a tight parking spot. EPA lists 368 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting it

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Before pickup

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

Requesting a car

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
