What happens when you ask for a car

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Checking your details

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
