Reading the spec sheet

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

It is rated 8.3 L/100 km combined: about 25 litres every 300 km. Driving 300 km costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

Good uses for the A4

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

The A4 in everyday use

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA lists 340 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Booking made plain

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

What we check

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
