The Mercury Sable: Luup alternative
Here is the Mercury Sable, for anyone after a rental car. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Under the hood
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
How big it is
As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city.
When the Sable makes sense
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.
Rent this car
Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
What happens when you ask for a car
The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.
Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
Requirements
Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.
For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

Can I rent a Mercury Sable in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
