Mechanic: how we help

Mechanic for the 2020 Subaru Forester Limited: the work is done by a shop we trust, never by CarmaCars. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.

Details the shop needs

A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. It uses the 2.5L 4-cylinder and all-wheel drive.

How we help

The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. You approve the shop's quote before any work. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.

Small things that help

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can.

Talking to the shop

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
