Minivan rental and the 2020 Subaru Forester Base

The 2020 Subaru Forester Base is on this page for minivan rental: here is what to know before you request one. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

Java and the Forester

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Neighbouring areas include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Reading the spec sheet

The 2.5L 4-cylinder, paired with an automatic (CVT), drives it. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 25 litres, from its 8.2 L/100 km rating. Every 100 km costs about $12.71 in fuel at our price setting.

Practical details

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Best uses

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Getting one from us

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Requesting a car

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

The rules, briefly

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

Next step

Pick a car, send a request, and decide once you see the offer.
