Specs, explained

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Its combined rating is 7.8 L/100 km, which means roughly 23 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, it costs about $13.65 to drive 100 km.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Inside and out

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. The trunk holds 368 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting it

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Booking in plain terms

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

Who can rent

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

One more step

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
