The numbers in plain words

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid does the work, through a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Combined fuel use is 8.3 L/100 km: about 25 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.87, and a 300 km weekend about $38.61.

Who rents the A4

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits stop-and-go driving and rideshare or delivery work.

How big it is

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. With 340 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting the A4 from CarmaCars

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.

Getting the car booked

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

The rules, briefly

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
