Renting the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX

For a car for rideshare or delivery work, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is one of many cars on CarmaCars, each with its own page. Each platform sets its own vehicle rules, by city and model year; check them before you book. Tell us in your request that the car is for app work.

A note on Bald Knobs

Bald Knobs is about 568 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Bald Knobs starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

Close by are Merritt, Stiversville and Oldtown Flats, each with its own page.

What the specs mean

The engine is the 6.2L 8-cylinder supercharged, with four-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

It is rated at 19.8 L/100 km combined, so budget about 59 litres for 300 km. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $103.95 at our price setting.

Size and space

Being a pickup truck, it trades parking ease for a cargo bed.

Best uses

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size.

The steps

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Renting: the basics

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
