Reading the spec sheet

The electric motor is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Rated energy use is 17.4 kWh per 100 km. The EPA rates its range at 507 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. For 1,000 km, budget about $26.10 at our price setting.

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Who rents the Model Y

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Rent it from us

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.

Booking in plain terms

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

Requirements

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
