What the figures tell you

It uses the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 25 litres, from its 8.3 L/100 km rating. Driving 300 km costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

What to expect from the A4

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Its 340 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Best uses

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Renting it

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.

Getting the car booked

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Licence, age and card

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
