Rules for renters

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
