Emissions Test in Ruby, NE

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Ruby is about 1,497 km away. What it involves: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

What CarmaCars does here

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair.

Talking to the shop

Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.

Small things that help

Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.
