Our area and Ruby

We do not have a location in Ruby; CarmaCars works out of Toronto. With Ruby about 1,497 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

Visiting Toronto from Ruby? We can meet you with a car when you arrive. Because Ruby is outside Ontario, the trip needs our written consent first. If you are unsure whether we can help with Ruby, ask; we answer plainly. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.

What is different here

Month to month, you keep the flexibility of a rental and skip the commitment of a lease. Renting month to month means no long commitment and no buyout at the end. The deposit is never taken when you book, only shortly before pickup. If the car you want is taken, we suggest the closest match we have.

Who rents this way

Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week. Newcomers waiting for their own car rent for a month or two first.

Rules for renters

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

From your dates to the handover

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Still deciding?

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
