Emissions Test in Wright, BC

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Wright is about 3,240 km away. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

What we arrange

Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Small things that help

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.

Questions to ask the shop

If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
