Engine Repair in Berkeley, IL

Engine Repair for Berkeley

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 734 km from Berkeley, and does not do this work itself. What this is: Engine repair, from a leak to a rebuild, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Who does what

We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.

Car care, briefly

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
