Mechanic: how we help

Mechanic in Springfield: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. What it involves: Repairs and maintenance by a mechanic at a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Regular maintenance keeps small problems from turning into large ones.

From request to repair

We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

Before the shop starts

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.

Between shop visits

Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
