Buying a car in Basingstoke

Auto Loans in Basingstoke: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Drive it like you own it

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. We deliver rental cars to Basingstoke, so the test can start at your door.

A buyer's checklist

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Before your next car arrives

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.
