Buying a car in Basingstoke
Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.
A test drive that lasts
Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Our cars reach Basingstoke by delivery, or you collect one from us in Toronto for free.
What to check before you buy
Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.
While you shop
Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.
Know the area
