Auto Loans in Central Berkeley, Berkeley

Shopping for a car in Central Berkeley

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most.

Before you sign

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

While you shop

A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
