Trade In in Edwin, CA

Shopping for a car in Edwin

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours.

Rent it before you buy it

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

What to check before you buy

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

While you shop

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.
