Trade In: what CarmaCars does

Trade In in Freestone: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours.

Why rent first

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

Checks worth doing

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

Between cars

Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
