Why CarmaCars

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree. A request is free and commits you to nothing.

Typical renters

People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

Requesting a car

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

Licence, age and card

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
