Cars for Java

Searching for RideAlike alternative in Java? Here is the honest picture from CarmaCars, a Toronto rental company. What you get

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account. You choose the exact car, not a category with "or similar".

Booking made plain

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Driver requirements

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Over to you

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
