The Civic and Java

Java is about 1,639 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Places around Java include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Reading the spec sheet

Its 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo drives through an automatic (CVT). The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Plan on about 21 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 6.9 L/100 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $32.10 in energy at our price setting.

Who the Civic suits

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Space and size

As a large sedan, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. In plain terms, its 736 litres of luggage space hold bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Rent this car

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay.

Who qualifies

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

How renting with us works

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

When you know your dates

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
