About the 2003 MINI Cooper
This is the 2003 MINI Cooper: how it was powered, what it uses and which trims were sold in Canada.
Reading the spec sheet
The powertrain to know here is the 1.6L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter. With a manual gearbox, you change gears yourself.
The EPA rates it at 8.4 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 25 litres. City driving is rated 9.4 L/100 km and highway driving 7.1. A 300 km weekend costs about $44.10 in energy at our price setting. We count premium at $1.75 a litre for the cost figures on this page.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a summer weekend or a special occasion more than a move.
Taking it further
For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent. Each car shows the kilometres included each day and the rate for extra ones. Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies.
How big it is
As a sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second. For luggage, 198 litres means about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Renting this car
We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
What to bring
Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.
Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
How renting with us works
Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.
The photos on a car's page are of that car. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
Make a request
When you have your dates, send a request. It is free, and the offer shows the full price.
