A note on Ruby

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Ruby starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Ruby is about 281 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

If you are close to Ruby, you may also be near Abbottsford, Atkins and The Lakes Mobile Home Park.

In blue

Ask for blue in your request; the offer confirms the colour of the car. Want blue? Put it in the request. A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for blue in your request.

Engine and fuel

Power: the 2.5L 4-cylinder; drive: all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Fuel use is rated 8.2 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 25 litres. Expect about $12.71 per 100 km at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Room inside

It offers the space of an SUV with the height that makes loading easy.

Can I rent it?

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Renting: the basics

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

The booking steps

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

One more step

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
