Engine and fuel

The powertrain to know here is the electric motor, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Energy use is rated at 15.6 kWh/100 km, about 47 kWh for 300 km. On paper it goes 568 km between charges, less in winter. In energy, every 100 km costs about $2.34 at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is rated at 425 litres: a family's bags for a long weekend.

Requesting a car

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Renting: the basics

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
