Renting for Java

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,933 km from Java, and does not deliver there. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Around Java you will also find Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

Colour notes

A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for white in your request. Tell us if white is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. If you want it in white, say so in your request and we look for one for your dates.

Reading the spec sheet

The electric motor does the work, through a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

For every 100 km it uses about 17.4 kWh. On paper it goes 507 km between charges, less in winter. In energy, every 100 km costs about $2.61 at our price setting.

What to expect from the Model Y

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Good uses for the Model Y

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage.

Getting this car from us

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner.

Who qualifies

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Requesting a car

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
