What you need to rent

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
