Under the hood

Its 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid drives through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

At 8.3 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 25 litres of fuel. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.87.

What the A4 is like

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA measures its luggage space at 340 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who rents the A4

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Can you rent one?

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.

Driver basics

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Booking with CarmaCars

You request the car online with your dates, and nothing is charged to send it. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
