What the specs mean

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, paired with a 7-speed automatic, drives it. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

The EPA rates it at 8.3 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 25 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $38.61 at our price setting.

Who the A4 suits

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country.

What to expect from the A4

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. EPA lists 340 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

What happens when you ask for a car

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

What we need from you

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
