Java and the Corolla

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Also close to Java: Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

The figures, translated

Its 1.8L 4-cylinder drives through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Fuel use is rated 7.3 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 22 litres. For 1,000 km, budget about $113.20 at our price setting.

Size and space

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. In plain terms, its 368 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

When the Corolla makes sense

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Getting one from us

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner.

The booking steps

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. You pay only once you approve the offer.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Rules for renters

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
