The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX: Replacement car rental

For a car while yours is off the road, here is what the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX brings, and how to request one. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.

The 1500 and Java

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Java is about 770 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Reading the spec sheet

The 6.2L 8-cylinder supercharged is what moves it, with four-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

The combined figure, 19.8 L/100 km, means roughly 59 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, it costs about $34.65 to drive 100 km.

Who it is for

It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

What the 1500 is like

A pickup is long and tall, so plan for parking and low garages.

Can you rent one?

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you.

Who can rent

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

From your dates to the handover

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
