About the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX

The 1500 and Java

Java is about 770 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

Also close to Java: Lucks, Ebenezer and Shockoe.

Engine and fuel

Power: the 6.2L 8-cylinder supercharged; drive: four-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

By the EPA's combined rating of 19.8 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 59 litres. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $103.95 at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Living with the 1500

A pickup is long and tall, so plan for parking and low garages.

Getting one from us

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay.

Driver basics

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

The booking steps

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
