Java and the Forester

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

The numbers in plain words

It is powered by the 2.5L 4-cylinder, with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

The EPA rates it at 8.2 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 25 litres. In money, 1,000 km costs about $127.10 at our price setting.

Space and size

An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.

Who it is for

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

From request to keys

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Who qualifies

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
