What the specs mean

It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

The combined figure, 8.3 L/100 km, means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

Size and space

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 340 litres of luggage space fit about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Rent this car

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

Who qualifies

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

From request to keys

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
