Specs, explained

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Plan on about 25 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km. That works out to about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

What the A4 is like

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. EPA lists 340 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who rents the A4

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Our A4 cars

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.

Who can rent

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

What to expect when you book

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
