Car Diagnostics in Pointers, NJ

Arranging the work in Pointers

If you need a diagnostic check in Pointers: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. Plainly: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

What CarmaCars does here

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer.

Between shop visits

Look at the tire tread before long trips. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.

Before the shop starts

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
