A rental car in Pointers

Searching for car subscription in Pointers? Here is the honest picture from CarmaCars, a Toronto rental company. One thing to know: No subscription contract: rent month to month instead. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement, and you can stop at the end of any booking. You can compare rates car by car before you ask for anything.

Our reach

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Pointers is outside our area. Measured in a straight line, Pointers is about 557 km from central Toronto; we deliver within about 80 km.

If you live in the Toronto area and need a car for a trip to Pointers, we can help with that. A trip from Ontario to Pointers needs our written consent before you leave. Send a request with what you need in Pointers, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.

What to expect

Each new agreement keeps the same simple terms as the first. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking, or renew it. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. You see the price before you pay, and a person confirms every booking.

Who it is for

Students, contract workers and people between leases rent month to month. People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice.

Request, offer, keys

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

What we need from you

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
