Car Diagnostics in Ruby, VA

Car Diagnostics for Ruby

For a diagnostic check in Ruby, know first that CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works in the Toronto area. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

How the request works

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you.

Getting a clear quote

Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.

Car care, briefly

Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.

A note on distance

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Ruby. Ruby is about 594 km from our location, and our delivery area is about 80 km.

For work in Ruby, ask in a request and we tell you honestly whether we know a shop there. If the car can come to the Toronto area, we can arrange a trusted shop there. Write to us with the dates and the place, and we will give you a straight answer. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
