Cars for Ruby

If you need a car while yours is off the road in Ruby, read this first: CarmaCars works from Toronto. The key point: Need a car while yours is at the dealer or the shop? Rent one by the day or the week, delivered to you. After a collision, your insurer may pay when your adjuster approves the rental. Each car page shows what is included, what is extra and the deposit.

Our reach

There is no CarmaCars location in Ruby; everything we do starts in Toronto. Ruby lies about 602 km from our location in Toronto, well beyond our 250 km delivery area.

If your trip starts in the Toronto area, we can have a car ready for the drive. Trips outside Ontario need our written consent. Mention the route in your request. Send a request about Ruby, and we reply with a clear yes or no. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.

What you get

Rent by the day or the week while yours is repaired, and stop when it is ready. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly, and we deliver the car to you. Each car has its own page with photos of that car, not a stock image of a category. Every booking has a signed agreement in your account.

Before pickup

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Booking in plain terms

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Make a request

Tell us your dates and where you want the car, and we will do the rest.
