Buying the 2021 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate

No 2021 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate is for sale by CarmaCars at the moment; this page helps you judge the car before you buy one elsewhere. Buying the 2021 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate is a big decision; here is the information we have.

Before you sign for the Tucson

Ask the seller for the service records of this exact car. A pre-purchase inspection at a shop you choose is money well spent. In Ontario, a used car needs a Safety Standards Certificate to be registered. Look at the tires, brakes and battery; they are costly to replace.

    What the figures tell you

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

At 9.5 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 29 litres of fuel. In energy, every 100 km costs about $14.73 at our price setting. The EPA estimates US$2,700 a year in fuel for 15,000 miles.

    Best uses

It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

What to expect from the Tucson

An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.

Rent it for a week first

A week with the Tucson answers more than any brochure. Drive the Tucson on your commute before you commit to it. A week of your own driving tells you more than a test drive: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

    Choosing the right one

Compare the Ultimate with the other trims of the same year before you decide. A newer year is not always better; check what changed before paying more for it. Decide what matters most first: fuel use, space, or the price you can pay.

    The cost of driving it

Ask what a set of tires costs for this trim; sizes and prices vary. The EPA estimates US$2,700 a year in fuel for 15,000 miles at US prices. At our price setting, 100 km costs about $14.73 in fuel.

    A note on Edificios

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Edificios starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Edificios is about 3,316 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.
