Honest about Ruby

CarmaCars works from one location in Toronto and does not operate in Ruby. Our delivery area ends about 250 km from Toronto, and Ruby is about 281 km out.

If you live in the Toronto area and need a car for a trip to Ruby, we can help with that. Driving out of Ontario is possible only with our written consent, given before the trip. Write to us with the dates and the place, and we will give you a straight answer. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

Who this suits

Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

Worth knowing

Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. You see the price before you pay, and a person confirms every booking. The same team handles your request, your handover and your questions.

Ruby at a glance

Abbottsford, Atkins and The Lakes Mobile Home Park are the neighbouring places on our list.

The closest airport to Ruby is St Clair County International Airport, roughly 16 km away.

Before pickup

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

The steps

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

When you know your dates

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
