Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers in Ruby, SC

About renting in Ruby

This page is for Ruby, but CarmaCars rents from Toronto. Here is the plain answer. Good to know: A car for Uber, Lyft or delivery work, rented from CarmaCars directly. Tell us when you book. Weekly and monthly rates first: trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and one booking runs up to 365 days and renews. Luup, Uber and Lyft are named only to describe what you compared and the work; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by any of them. You can compare rates car by car before you ask for anything.

Honest about distance

We are based in Toronto; Ruby is not somewhere we have a location. Ruby lies about 1,005 km from our location in Toronto, well outside our delivery area of about 250 km.

For the days before or after a flight to Ruby, we can have a car for you in Toronto. Because Ruby is outside Ontario, the trip needs our written consent first. Tell us what you are planning in Ruby, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.

What to expect

Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You rent the car shown, with its own photos and price. We answer questions before you book, not only after.

Renting: the basics

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

What to expect when you book

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
