A note on Ruby

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 2,589 km from Ruby, and does not deliver there. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Ruby starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

Alder, Laurin and Junction are the neighbouring places on our list.

The figures, translated

Under the hood: the electric motor and all-wheel drive. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

At 17.4 kWh/100 km, a 300 km day uses roughly 52 kWh. On paper it goes 507 km between charges, less in winter. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $2.61, and a 300 km weekend about $7.83.

What to expect from the Model Y

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

A good match for

Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage. Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country.

Rent it from us

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

Rules for renters

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Your booking, in three steps

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
